17 – 21 November 2021 · Wed, 10am – Sun, 1pm
The sadhana of the 13 deities Yamantaka is one of the most important practice cycles of Anuttarayogatantra. The main content of the winter retreat is self-generation as a yidam deity in the generation phase (Tib. kye rim) and the accumulation of the mantra.
To participate in this retreat, you must have received an initiation of the 13 deities Yamantaka, either from H.H. Ganden Tri Rinpoche when he was with us at Tibet Center, from His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama or from another authentic master and lineage holder.
Once one has received such an initiation, it is important to find time for the recitation of the sadhana in addition to the daily practice of the Guru Yoga in Six Sessions. This year’s winter retreat offers you the valuable opportunity to receive introductory explanations of the sadhana under the guidance of Venerable Lama Geshe TenDhar and to devote yourself to meditation together in the group. The common practice of vajra brothers and sisters is seen as something very powerful and important.
The goal is that you gain enough experience with meditation to be able to practice the sadhana on your own afterwards.
The teachings will be given by Lama Geshe TenDhar in Tibetan with interpretation into German. Recitations will be mainly in German.
