Feb. 2017 – Conferral of Diplomas at the beginning of the fire-bird year

27. February 20172017, NewsTCA

At the beginning of the Tibetan year of the fire-bird over 40 graduates of Tibetcenter joyfully received their diplomas and confirmations. Lama Geshe TenDhar, director of the Tibetcenter, said: „I am very proud that all of you have successfully finished these courses, as the knowledge that you acquired here will contribute to our peaceful co-existence and wellbeing!”
Using the knowledge for the benefit of all
The course participants, all from varying occupations, have intensively studied in courses that covered themes such as “the Buddhist science of mind” and “traditional Tibetan medicine.” The goal of all the different trainings, offered at Tibet Center Institute, is to use the acquired knowledge to benefit oneself, one’s own immediate surroundings and society at large. This promise, to do just that, has been given by all graduates as part of a moving ceremony.
Tibet Center Institute is especially proud of the new trade licensed training in in Tibetan Massage (Jamche-Kunye), that leads to wellbeing and relaxation.
With his comment: “We from Hüttenberg are really proud of Tibet Center Institute!” Mayor Josef Ofner emphasized the meaning of the Tibetcenter as a cultural and economic factor in the Görtschnitztal region.
Tibetan hospitality in Hüttenberg
Following after the conferral of the diplomas started the celebration of Tibetan New-year. At the beginning stood a traditional fire-ceremony and prayers for the beginning “fire-bird year”. Almost 200 guests celebrated with Tibetan music, traditional sweet rice and other delicacies in the seminar room that was transformed into a ceremony hall, which was so full of people that it almost spilled over. A highlight was the “Guthuk”-soup filled with small dough balls in which one could find, with great furore, predictions for the next year!
The Tibetan hospitality is well received in Hüttenberg. The guests like to come again and again!
