How to get to Knappenberg

By Plane: There are direct flights from Cologne, Hamburg, Berlin, Vienna, and many other European cities to Klagenfurt – a town only 50 km south of Knappenberg. Or you just fly to Vienna and take the train (3-4 hours) or rent a car.

By car:

From Vienna: Autobahn A2 Wr. Neustadt – S6 and S36 Bruck/Mur – Judenburg, B96 and B83 to Neumarkt i. d. Stmk., turn left and continue along B92 to Hüttenberg, via Hüttenberg to Knappenberg
Autobahn A2 Wr. Neustadt – Wechsel – Graz – Pack, take the exit Bad St. Leonhard, turn right B78 until to turn for Klippitzthörl, via Klippitzthörl to Knappenberg

From Klagenfurt: B83/ S37 via St. Veit, take the exit Kappel/Krappfeld and continue via Guttaring till Mösel, turn left and continue along B92 to Knappenberg

From Graz: Autobahn A2 Graz – Pack, take the exit Bad St. Leonhard, turn right, B78 until to turn for Klippitzthörl, via Klippitzthörl to Knappenberg.

From Salzburg: Autobahn A 10 take exit St. Michael continue direction Tamsweg – Murau – turn right at Teufenbach to Neumarkt i. Stmk. – turn left, B92 to Hüttenberg, via Hüttenberg to Knappenberg.

From Linz: Autobahn A 1 direction A9 – A9 exit Trieben – direction Judenburg/Hohentauern – B114 St. Georgen ob Judenburg – S37 via Scheifling to Neumarkt i. d. Stmk., then turn left and continue along B92 to Hüttenberg.

From Innsbruck: Autobahn A 13 – entry Italy – A33 – SS 49 – entry Austria – B100 via Lienz till Spittal a. d. Drau – A10 pass Villach to Klagenfurt – A2/S37 via St. Veit take the exit Kappel/Krappfeld and continue via Guttaring till Mösel, turn left continue along B92 to Knappenberg.

From München/Munich: A8 to Salzburg – Autobahn A 10 take exit St. Michael continue direction Tamsweg – Murau – turn right at Teufenbach to Neumarkt i. Stmk. – turn left, B92 to Hüttenberg, via Hüttenberg to Knappenberg

By train, bus or taxi: The nearest railway station is Treibach-Althofen, which is about 17 km from Hüttenberg and about 30 km north of Klagenfurt. From there, you can either take a bus or a taxi: Taxiunternehmen Rabitsch, cell phone: +43-664-5220658, max. 8 persons per car.
