Location

Tibet Center - Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies - is situated in Hüttenberg, a market town in the Austrian State of Carinthia (see Directions >>).

The municipal office building houses Tibet Center's office; the courses and seminars take place in the district of Knappenberg, which is located at an altitude of 1000 meters (see picture). In Knappenberg there is a modern seminar building, owned by the Carinthian Music Academy >>, which now also hosts Tibet Center's education program.

Our participants usually stay at the music academy's guesthouse, just across the street (picture below), but there are also other alternatives for accommodation.

The beautiful Carinthian scenery with its mountains and lakes, the hospitality of the local population and easy access to tourist highlights (like Carinthian Capital Klagenfurt, Lake Wörthersee, nature park Hörfeld-Moor) is greatly appreciated by all our participants.
