4. About the Courses in Traditional Tibetan Medicine
Do I have to be a doctor to participate in a diploma course of TTM?
No. Our participants come from all professions. TTM is a valuable further training not only for doctors, but also for therapists in different sectors, like massage, natural healing, psychology, etc. It is also possible for people with no therapeutic background to attend our TTM courses.
However, if you want to attend one of the advanced TTM-courses, like Tibetan Massage, Mild Therapies and Diagnoses, the successful completion of the Fundamentals of TTM-course is obligatory.
If I earn a certificate in TTM, can I practice as a doctor?
No. Our certificates do not substitute any professional training that is obligatory for practice in your country.
Please note: the education on Traditional Tibetan Medicine does not fulfill the criteria of scientism which is, according to law, necessary in terms of established health care education. It rather involves the teaching of traditional cultural issues. If a participant of the course is planning to involve aspects of the Traditional Tibetan Medicine in his or her profession, he or she is solely responsible regarding legal permission. This Diploma Course does not represent an education of a medical profession.
